A Milestone for Sustainability
We are pleased to announce a special milestone: in collaboration with Tree-Nation, we have planted 30 Croton megalocarpus trees in the Geita region of Tanzania. This marks a tangible commitment to environmental protection and sustainable business practices.
Why Plant Trees?
As a 3D printing service provider, we consume energy and raw materials. Sustainability for us means not just minimizing this footprint but actively offsetting it. Trees are one of the most effective tools for this:
- CO2 absorption: Each tree absorbs several hundred kilograms of CO2 over its lifetime
- Biodiversity: Reforestation creates habitats for local wildlife and plant species
- Community development: The Geita project creates jobs and educational opportunities for the local population
The Project in Geita
The Geita Tree Plantation for Community is located in northern Tanzania. The project focuses on reforesting degraded land and building carbon storage capacity. Beyond the ecological benefits, the local community gains new income opportunities and access to educational programs.
Croton megalocarpus is a native East African tree that grows quickly and fulfills diverse ecological functions. Its nuts are used for oil extraction, and it improves soil quality in its surroundings.
Our Commitment Continues
The 30 trees are a first step. Our goal is to make a further contribution to climate protection with every order. We will continuously expand our engagement with Tree-Nation and report transparently on our progress.
Sustainability in 3D Printing
Additive manufacturing is inherently more resource-efficient than many traditional processes: only the material that is actually needed is consumed. Combined with regional production and active climate protection measures, this creates a business model that unites economic success with ecological responsibility.
We thank all customers and partners who walk this path with us.
