SLA Respiratory Mask
Functional prototype of a respiratory mask made from ABS-Like Resin — highest detail accuracy for production preparation.
This prototype of a respiratory mask was manufactured using the SLA process from liquid ABS-Like Resin. The goal: a functional prototype that realistically represents the form, fit accuracy and ergonomics of the later series product. With a layer thickness of just 0.05 mm, we were able to precisely reproduce the finest details such as sealing lips, valve seats and mounting elements.
The prototype served as the basis for wearing trials and the final geometry adjustment before series production. Thanks to the mechanical properties of the ABS-Like Resin, the mask could be tested not only visually but also functionally — a decisive advantage over purely visual models.
