Reents Technologies GmbH is expanding its service portfolio with a key addition: professional 3D scanning services. Alongside 3D printing and CAD engineering, clients can now commission high-precision 3D scans directly from us.
What Is 3D Scanning?
3D scanning captures a physical object without contact and converts it into a digital 3D model. Modern laser scanners and structured light projection systems achieve accuracies in the range of a few hundredths of a millimetre.
The result is a dense point cloud or polygon mesh that serves as the basis for CAD design, quality inspection, or reproduction.

Reverse Engineering
No CAD model available? No problem. 3D scanning allows existing components to be digitised and used as the basis for modifications or remanufacturing.
Quality Assurance
Nominal-actual comparisons between CAD data and manufactured parts enable precise quality control. Deviations are visualised with colour-coded maps.
Spare Parts Procurement
Discontinued spare parts can be scanned, digitally processed, and then reproduced via 3D printing — a closed workflow from a single source.
Archiving and Documentation
Physical objects are permanently preserved in digital form. This is particularly valuable for legacy components, tools, or reference models.
