From Hobby to Business
Every company has a story. The story of Reents Technologies GmbH begins with a fascination for additive manufacturing and the desire to make this technology professionally accessible. What started as a hobby with a single 3D printer has evolved into a full-fledged engineering firm for additive manufacturing.
The Founding
In May 2023, Reents Technologies GmbH was officially established in Schenefeld near Hamburg. Founder Riko Reents, B. Eng. (Electrical Engineering), combines technical expertise from electrical engineering with a deep passion for 3D printing.
The choice of Schenefeld as the company’s location was deliberate: centrally positioned between Hamburg and western Schleswig-Holstein, with excellent connections to the metropolitan region and close proximity to regional industry.
The Vision
From the very beginning, the vision was clear: not simply a printing service, but a partner for the entire additive manufacturing process chain. This encompasses:
- CAD development: From sketch to print-ready 3D model
- 3D scanning and reverse engineering: Digitizing and optimizing existing components
- Professional 3D printing: FDM and SLA with industrial-grade materials
- Prototype construction: Rapid iteration from idea to tested component
- Small series production: Economical manufacturing without tooling costs
- Spare parts production: Reproducing discontinued parts
Growth and Development
Since its founding, the company has continuously evolved. The print farm has been expanded, new technologies integrated, and the service portfolio broadened. Today we serve clients from mechanical engineering, medical technology, consumer goods, architecture, and education.
Personal consultation is particularly important to us. Every project begins with a conversation in which we understand the requirements and develop the optimal solution. Technology is the tool; understanding is the foundation.
